This new shade makes the KTM 250 Duke darker and meaner.
Barely days after KTM India updated its quarter-litre naked sport, the 250 Duke, with new features and design from the KTM 390 Duke. The brand has now introduced a new colour option called the Ebony Black. It will be available alongside the existing Ceramic White, Electric Orange, and Atlantic Blue options. The asking price of the 2024 KTM 250 Duke was also updated earlier, and despite this new colour option, it will continue to be priced at the same ₹2.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Beyond these changes, the KTM 250 Duke continues as it is. Starting with the engine, wherein the bike is powered by a 248 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 30 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm at 7,250 rpm. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox, and a bidirectional quickshifter and slipper assist clutch are standard. The underpinnings are also the same, with the lighter trellis frame sprung by 43 mm Wp Apex USD fork and monoshock, while 320 mm/ 240 mm disc brakes take care of braking duties.
As mentioned above, the KTM 250 Duke now looks and gets the same features as its elder sibling, the KTM 390 Duke. As a consequence, the feature list is now also the same as the latter, which includes turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alert, music control and helmet connectivity via the KTM Connect App. Lastly, the new headlamp cluster makes it look just like the 390 Duke as well.
