The XUV700 has been launched in the petrol automatic guise only in Australia
Mahindra has launched the XUV700 SUV in Australia. The company’s flagship SUV will be exported from the Indian market to Australia. Mahindra Australia has been ramping up operations in the country by expanding its network there. With the XUV700 heading to the market, it is clear that the production for the car in India has also been ramped up. The company had recently announced that there were still 78,000 open bookings for the XUV700 in the country and the company has been receiving approximately 8000 bookings per month for the car. So, it is very evident, that there is still massive demand for this SUV.
The XUV700, in Australia, is currently only available with the petrol engine and automatic transmission only. With prices beginning from Rs. 20 lakh, the XUV700 is available with a 7 year warranty and 7 year Road side assistance. We expect the diesel to be launched later next year but there is no official word about it from Mahindra yet.
With Mahindra kick starting exports to Australia, it is paramount that the company ramp up production to meet the demand.Veejay Nakra, President – Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, "The XUV700 has been engineered to cater to global markets and given its sensational success in the Indian market, we are confident that customers in Australia too will appreciate its class-leading attributes, advanced features, modern technology, and global safety standards.”
The XUV700 is built from the ground up on an all-new platform and there are already 1 lakh customers for the car in India. It has also received a 5-star safety rating from the global safety watchdog Global NCAP, which sows the strong build quality it has to offer.
