Mahindra has officially unveiled the 2024 Thar Roxx MX1 base variant, the latest addition to the rugged SUV's lineup. Priced at ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India), this variant aims to offer a blend of functionality, comfort, and safety while remaining accessible to a wider audience. The Thar Roxx MX1 base variant retains the characteristic robust styling synonymous with the Thar lineup. The vehicle features a dual-tone metal top that adds to its rugged aesthetic. The front is highlighted by LED projector headlamps, ensuring better visibility during night drives or challenging off-road trails. Completing the aggressive stance of the SUV are the LED taillights and 18-inch steel wheels. Although the wheels come without covers, they align with the tough and purposeful look of the vehicle. Additionally, the SUV is equipped with LED turn indicators mounted on the fenders and a side footstep for easier ingress and egress.

The cabin of the Thar Roxx MX1 base variant is a mix of functional design and thoughtful features. Fabric upholstery offers durability, while a front-centre sliding armrest adds comfort for long drives. The semi-digital driver’s display includes a multi-information display (MID), providing key vehicle stats at a glance. Despite being a base variant, the model includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, adding a touch of modernity with support for multimedia and connectivity options.
For added practicality, the vehicle includes a 60:40 split rear seat, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and all four power windows. A sunglass holder and rear USB Type-C charging ports enhance the user experience, making sure comfort and utility go hand in hand. Moreover, the vehicle is equipped with manual AC, which includes rear vents to ensure that all passengers stay cool.
Despite being the entry-level model, the Thar Roxx MX1 base variant offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ensuring drivers and passengers stay connected on the go.
