Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition Launched At ₹19.64 Lakh

Mahindra has been launching new black edition models recently, and the latest to get that treatment is the XUV700. Called the Ebony edition, the XUV700’s special edition is priced ₹19.64 – 24.14 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and is only available on the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L trims. It rivals the likes of the MG Hector Plus Blackstorm and the Tata Safari Dark edition.

With the Ebony edition, the XUV700 gets an all-black exterior with a black paint with blacked-out grille, alloy wheels, ORVMs, roof rails, but with dark silver faux skid plates on the front and rear bumpers. It also gets two Ebony badges, with one on the tailgate and one on the driver-side door. 

Inside, the XUV700 Ebony edition gets an all-black cabin but with a grey headliner. It has black seat covers and a black dashboard with contrast grey stitching, as well as a dark chrome dashboard accent and AC vents. Mahindra said the Ebony edition has been introduced to give customers a darker interior, a feature which most XUV700 buyers demanded for. 

The Ebony edition is available with the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. As mentioned, the Ebony edition is available with the AX7 and AX7L trims, but the latter doesn’t get the petrol manual powertrain.
