The electric coupe SUV from Mahindra was first shown in 2022 as a concept.
Mahindra is readying an onslaught of electric SUVs that was first showcased to the world on August 15, 2022. The first couple of e-SUVs coming from Mahindra will be the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 and we have fresh spy shots of the latter.
The latest spy shot shows the XUV.e9 parked at an EV charging station, but no charger was connected. While the XUV.e9 is heavily camouflaged, the spy shot does show the front silhouette of the upcoming coupe SUV.

The camouflaged XUV.e9 seems to have the same fascial as the XUV.e9 concept from 2022. The spy shot shows the electric SUV will have two vertical LED DRLs that will be connected via a full-width light bar. Even the headlamps have the same lighting elements as the XUV.e9 concept, with a twin-pod design. The bonnet of the XUV.e9 has the same cuts and creases as the concept SUV.
The XUV.e9 will also get 5-spoke aero-design alloy wheels and the rear door handles will be mounted on the C-pillar. The front door will get flush-fitting door handles, as also seen on the XUV700.

The upcoming XUV.e9 is likely to be built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform but powertrain details remain under wraps. Expect the XUV.e9 to get an 80 kWh battery pack that could have a claimed range of 450 km on a single charge.
Features-wise, the XUV.e9 is likely to get a wide binnacle spanning the width of the dashboard that houses three screens. The centre screen will most likely be the infotainment touchscreen, while the one on the right will be a digital cluster. The third screen is likely to be a dedicated media display for the front passenger. Other features are likely to include a two-spoke steering wheel, touch-based HVAC controls, panoramic sunroof and more.
