Over 1,100 Maruti Suzuki employees volunteered more than 2,600 hours, supporting more than 8,700 people in education, healthcare, or companionship.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has said that its employee volunteering initiative, eParivartan, reached more than 8,700 people in FY2025-26. The company added that over 1,100 employees contributed more than 2,600 volunteering hours across more than 30 community activities during the year. The efforts covered a broad mix of health, community care, education and youth engagement programmes.

Health and community care initiatives expand

A major part of the volunteering work centred on health and community support. Employees took part in four blood donation drives held at the company’s offices and manufacturing facilities. They also helped assemble wheelchairs from kits supplied by the company, with the completed units later donated to shelter homes and care centres.

Volunteers further supported residents at shelter homes by distributing food, medicines, dry ration and toiletries. In addition, employees spent time with the elderly and with underprivileged groups through companionship programmes designed to provide interaction, care and a sense of dignity. These activities, while simple in format, appear to have formed an important part of the wider volunteering effort.

Focus on education and youth engagement

The initiative also placed strong emphasis on children and young learners. Employees organised interactions with underprivileged children, including a visit to Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar manufacturing facility. The company said the experience was meant to broaden horizons and encourage curiosity by exposing children to large-scale manufacturing and direct employee interaction.

Volunteers also engaged with specially-abled children through art sessions and inclusive activities. They supported students with visual impairments as well, including the distribution of Braille kits to assist learning. Another activity, the Wish Tree initiative, helped fulfil the wishes of more than 300 underprivileged students through school bags, stationery, learning material and toys.

School improvement and wider CSR framework

The volunteering programme was supported by school beautification drives, with employees painting more than 1,400 sq. ft. of wall space in government schools in Manesar and Gurugram. Maruti Suzuki said these efforts were aimed at creating more welcoming learning environments for students.

Speaking about eParivartan, Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “At Maruti Suzuki, we believe progress is meaningful only when it is shared with the communities around us. We are happy to share that in FY 2025–26, over 1,100 Maruti Suzuki employees volunteered more than 2,600 hours, supporting more than 8,700 people in education, healthcare, or companionship.”
