Will the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVitara have a price (ex-showroom) tag of ₹24.79 lakh for one of its more loaded variants? It appears to be so. A Nexa dealer webpage has purportedly shown the Maruti Suzuki eVitara at an ex‑showroom price of ₹24.79 lakh, sparking discussions on social media about the company’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV).
According to posts on the microblogging and social networking platform - X, the price figure appeared on a Nexa outlet site under the eVitara Alpha trim and was captured in a screenshot shared by the handle Torque India, which tagged the amount at ₹24.79 lakh ex‑showroom. The image resembles a regular product page with variant details and links for brochure download and test drive booking.
The same price has been reported on some dealer portals, though it is not visible on the public Nexa site at the time of writing. Maruti Suzuki has maintained that it has not announced prices for the eVitara and that the official price reveal will take place at the launch.

If the leaked figure is accurate, it sits above the upper end of that band.
Current prices of rival electric SUVs underline the gap:
Model | Ex‑showroom price point in India* |
|---|---|
| Leaked Maruti Suzuki eVitara Alpha | ₹24.79 lakh (website figure, unconfirmed) |
| Hyundai Creta Electric | ₹18.02-23.82 lakh |
| MG ZS EV | ₹17.99-20.50 lakh |
| Tata Nexon EV | ₹12.49-17.49 lakh |
| MG Windsor EV | ₹14-18.50 lakh |
| Kia Clarens Clavis EV | ₹17.99-24.49 lakh |
At ₹24.79 lakh, the eVitara top variant is more expensive than higher trims of rivals, including the Creta Electric and ZS EV. For buyers looking at Nexon EV or Windsor EV bands, the leaked number could place the Maruti option in a different bracket. In fact even if we included the Kia Clarens Clavis EV, the pricing is still on the higher side.
The eVitara is ready for launch, with production underway in Gujarat and test drives for media already complete, and the price announcement is expected soon.
