The Maruti Suzuki Eeco has completed 15 years in India, and has sold more than 1.2 million units in the country since. The Eeco was first launched in India in 2010 and is offered as a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki, said, “Regarded as India’s most-loved van, it has proven its mettle not only in urban markets but also in rural regions, which contribute a remarkable 63 per cent to its overall sales. We sincerely thank our customers for their trust in a brand that is India’s pride and partner in progress.”
The Eeco is available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine which accounts for 57 per cent of Maruti Suzuki's sales, while the delta goes to the CNG powertrain. The Eeco is available in a variety of configurations too, including a 5-seater, a 7-seater, Eeco Cargo, Tour V and Eeco Ambulance. Prices for the Eeco begin from ₹5.29 lakh - 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
It is available with safety features like two airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminders for front seats, and more. The Eeco has been on sale for the past 15 years without any major changes, making it one of the few cars in the country with the longest production time.
