If you ask us, we hope the company launches the Maruti Suzuki Jimny between Rs. 11 lakh and Rs. 13 lakh.
After a long wait, Maruti Suzuki India is finally launching the Maruti Suzuki Jimny in India tomorrow, June 7, 2023. We’ve driven the car and also told you the various variants the company will offer with the off-road SUV, as well as a detailed report on its fuel efficiency, so the only aspect left is the pricing, which will be announced tomorrow. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny rivals only the Mahindra Thar in the country, and it will be interesting to see how the company prices the Jimny in comparison. The pre-bookings for the Maruti Suzuki Jimny are currently open at an initial token amount of Rs. 11,000.

If you ask us, we hope the company launches the Maruti Suzuki Jimny between Rs. 11 lakh and Rs. 13 lakh. The SUV will be offered in two variants. For reference, the Mahindra Thar has priced between Rs. 10.54 lakh and Rs. 16.77 lakh (ex-showroom, India). So, anything below this will be highly aggressive and beneficial for the company to establish its presence in the Indian market, which has been for the longest time dominated by the Mahindra Thar.

So, how will Jimny's price impact its position in the market? It is likely to make the Jimny more affordable than the Thar, which could help it to attract more buyers. However, the Jimny is also likely to be less powerful and luxurious than the Thar, which could limit its appeal to some buyers. If the Jimny is priced within the expected range, it will likely pose a formidable challenge to the Thar.
Maruti Suzuki's strong brand presence, extensive service network, and proven track record of delivering value-for-money vehicles could attract a significant number of buyers who are looking for a capable compact SUV.
