This is the second recall for both cars in 1 year
Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall of 87599 vehicles and the affected vehicles are the S-Presso and Eeco. The company has not announced a number for each of the vehicles and a query from AckoDrive to the. Company regarding this has gone unanswered. The company announced that cars manufactured between July 5, 2021 and February 15, 2023 are part of the affected lot.
It is suspected that there is a possible defect in a part of steering tie rod may break and affect vehicle steerability and handling. It was in January this year that the S-Presso as well as the Eeco (among others) were recalled for a faulty airbag controller and this is the second recall for both cars in the course of a year.
The company has said that the affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti Suzuki authorised dealer workshops for inspection and replacement of the faulty part, free of cost.
