Maruti Suzuki Victoris also happens to be the runners up for the Best Car of the Year at TOTM 2026.
Maruti Suzuki has started shipping the Victoris to overseas markets. Launched in September 2025, the Victoris is based on the same Suzuki C Platform that underpins Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder. The first shipment, comprising over 450 units of the compact SUV, has been shipped from Mundra and Pipavav ports in Gujarat.
Globally, the Victoris will be sold under the name ‘Across’, aligning with Maruti Suzuki’s international branding strategy. The company has outlined plans to export Victoris to more than 100 countries and regions over time. Key export destinations include Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa, underscoring Maruti Suzuki’s focus on emerging and growth-oriented markets. Designed and manufactured in India, the model reflects the automaker’s broader “Make in India, Make for the World” vision .

Recently the Maruti Suzuki Victoris achieved a 5-star safety rating in both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP, reinforcing its credentials in terms of occupant protection and overall safety standards. The model was also showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, giving it early exposure to a global audience and highlighting its international relevance.
Commenting on the development, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Maruti Suzuki’s export journey is guided by the vision of Make in India, Make for the World. In the calendar year 2025, with exports of over 3.9 lakh vehicles, we emerged as India’s number one passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth year in a row.”
Maruti Suzuki’s export growth has significantly outpaced the broader industry over the past five years. Between CY2020 and CY2025, while overall passenger vehicle exports from India grew 1.43 times, Maruti Suzuki’s exports increased by 4.67 times. The addition of Victoris to its export portfolio is expected to further strengthen this momentum

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris shares its powertrain with the Grand Vitara and HyRyder. This includes a 1.5-litre K-series naturally aspirated petrol engine that develops 103 bhp and 139 Nm of torque, offered with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission, and delivering fuel efficiency of up to 21.18 kmpl. Customers can also opt for a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain, which produces a combined output of 116 bhp and is paired with an e-CVT, offering a class-leading claimed efficiency of 28.65 kmpl.

For buyers seeking enhanced off-road capability, Maruti Suzuki also offers an ALLGRIP Select 4x4 variant equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, paddle shifters, multiple terrain modes, and hill descent control in select variants.
