The Maserati Folgore will come in both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio iterations.
As Maserati gears up to expand its footprint in India, the iconic luxury carmaker is preparing to introduce its first-ever all-electric SUV, the Folgore, in 2025. This marks a significant milestone for the brand in a market that is gradually embracing electric mobility. The Folgore will come in both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio iterations, underscoring the brand's commitment to an electrified future.

The GranTurismo Folgore sets a new benchmark in the high-performance electric vehicle (EV) segment. Its tri-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain delivers an impressive 750 bhp and a staggering 1,350 Nm of torque, propelling the car from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds. This places Folgore among the fastest EVs in its class, rivalling established players in the performance EV market. The car's top speed is equally remarkable, reaching 325 kmph, which is on par with some of the fastest internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts. Equipped with a substantial 92.5 kWh battery pack, the GranTurismo Folgore offers a range of up to 450 km on a full charge.
The GranTurismo is available in three versions. The Modena and Trofeo get a 3.0-litre V6, while the Folgore is an EV.

Visually, the GranTurismo Folgore retains the classic GT car proportions that have defined its lineage. The cab-rearward design, characterised by a long, low bonnet and sleek lines, remains largely unchanged, maintaining the elegant aesthetic that Maserati is known for. However, subtle updates distinguish the Folgore from its ICE siblings. The most noticeable changes include a new alloy-wheel design, likely exclusive to the electric variant, which complements the car's aerodynamic profile.

Maserati has opted for a conservative approach in terms of design alterations, ensuring that the Folgore maintains the brand's distinctive styling cues. The flowing headlamps, sleek tail lamps, and iconic Maserati grille remain intact, seamlessly integrating the electric variant into the GranTurismo lineup.
