Meta AI now available across all of Meta's platforms in India.
Meta has announced the rollout of its AI personal assistant, Meta AI, in India. Meta AI will now be available across all of Meta's platforms in India, including WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.
Meta AI was first unveiled by Meta last year at its Connect event. Since April this year, it has been available in several countries, including the US, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. India is one of the biggest markets being introduced to Meta AI nearly two months after its initial international launch.
The rollout comes after Google launched its own AI assistant, Gemini, in India last week. During its pilot phase in India, Meta AI was tested for various use cases, such as information searching, learning, social media content creation, and more. Users provided feedback that helped enhance Meta AI's capabilities.
Built on Meta's new AI model Llama 3, Meta AI offers innovative features like text-to-image generation, animation abilities and more. It can be used for tasks like planning events, making mood boards, searching for information while scrolling on social media and more.
The "Imagine" feature allows users to generate real-time custom images from text descriptions. Users can then easily animate, style, or convert the images. Meta claims Meta AI is faster, more accurate, and offers new generation abilities compared to earlier versions.
Meta AI aims to make various tasks simpler for users. It can be interacted with directly or within personal/group chats. Users have end-to-end control over their conversations and information with Meta AI.
