MG Motor India has launched a special edition MG Gloster Blackstorm edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 40.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India), available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. The new MG Gloster Blackstorm edition brings cosmetic tweaks both to its externals and internals, as well as a new exterior paint scheme that also helps identify it as a special edition. The MG Gloster Blackstorm edition is offered in both 6- & 7-seater layouts but not with its 8-seater version.
Gaurav Gupta, Deputy MD, MG Motor India said, “The MG Gloster represents a timeless symbol of comfort, luxury, and modern technology. Taking this legacy, a step further, the Advanced Gloster Blackstorm exudes even more confidence and determined sportiness. With its exceptional features, commanding road presence, impressive performance, state-of-the-art technology, and luxurious interiors, it stands out from the crowd.”
The MG Gloster Blackstorm features a new Metal Black paint scheme with a Metal Ash hue for the various badges and letterings on the outside. The Blackstorm badge finds a place on the front fenders, while the black theme continues to enhance the visual appeal of the roof rail, taillight, window surround, fender, and fog garnish. The black and red colour combinations add a sporty appeal to the otherwise large SUV.
Inside, the black and red colour combination continues to add a touch of sportiness on the dashboard as well as on the upholstery. The all-black interior is complemented by red accents on the steering wheel, headlamps, callipers, and front and rear bumper as well as on the dark-themed leatherette seat upholstery, adorned with red stitches.
The MG Gloster Blackstorm is based on the same mechanics as the standard version, offered in both 2WD and 4WD setups. So power comes from a 2.0-litre diesel engine with turbo and twin-turbo options, coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
