The MG Hector Snowstorm Edition will feature a new Pearl White exterior paint scheme.
JSW MG Motor India is gearing up to introduce special edition versions of its popular mid-size SUVs, the Hector and Hector Plus, dubbed the Snowstorm Editions. Expected to launch between October and November 2024, these editions will primarily focus on cosmetic enhancements, similar to the Gloster Snowstorm Edition. The Snowstorm Editions will be available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations and are expected to offer distinct exterior and interior design upgrades to set them apart from the standard Hector variants.
The Hector Snowstorm Edition will stand out with its Pearl White exterior paint combined with blacked-out accents. At the front, the chrome grille from the standard Hector will be replaced with a gloss black finish, giving the SUV a sleeker, more modern look. The front bumper's skid plate will also be treated with black and red elements. Notably, the all-LED headlamp setup now features blackened inlays with red inserts, contributing to a sharp front section.
The side profile, always a highlight of the Hector's design, has been given additional enhancements. The A, B, and C pillars as well as the roof will be blacked out, replacing the traditional chrome. This continues onto the door handles and window sills, which will also feature blacked-out elements. The ORVMs could get a sporty treatment, with black and red inserts, further differentiating the Snowstorm Edition from the standard Hector models.
A subtle but impactful addition is the fender garnish strip that displays the Snowstorm badging. Completing the exterior modifications are the 19-inch alloy wheels painted in black, which, when paired with the red brake callipers. At the rear, the faux diffuser will be painted in gloss black with red accents, and the Hector badging will get a blacked-out makeover.
Stepping inside, the most notable update will be the all-black interior theme, which replaces the tan interior found on standard Hector variants. The dashboard and door inlays are adorned with leather and silver accents. The centre console features a faux carbon-fibre finish, adding a contemporary and tech-forward feel. Not just limited to aesthetics, the Snowstorm Edition also focuses on functionality with a 14-inch infotainment screen that offers both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
The MG Hector Snowstorm Edition will continue to offer the same two powertrain options as the regular Hector models, meaning no mechanical changes have been made. Customers can choose between a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine or a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. The petrol variant produces 141 bhp and comes with the option of either a manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. Meanwhile, the diesel engine churns out 168 bhp, but is only available with a manual gearbox.
