JSW MG Motor India reported a 3% sales growth in April 2026, dispatching 6,018 units.

JSW MG Motor India reported a 3% year on year increase in wholesale volumes for April 2026, according to the latest industry data. The automaker successfully dispatched 6,018 units to its dealer network during the month, maintaining a steady sales trajectory across its diverse portfolio of internal combustion engine vehicles and new energy models compared to the same period in 2025.

This growth comes at a time when the automotive industry is grappling with external pressures. The company highlighted that the ongoing crisis in West Asia has created significant disruptions in global supply chains. These geopolitical tensions have not only impacted the logistics of vehicle production but have also dampened consumer sentiment, leading to softer demand across the broader Indian automotive market.

Despite these headwinds, the manufacturer is looking to strengthen its market position with new product interventions. MG India is currently preparing for the commercial launch of the MG Majestor, marking its second entry into the D+ SUV segment. To generate early momentum, the company has already opened pre bookings for the model with an initial payment of ₹41,000.

To incentivise early adopters, JSW MG Motor India has introduced a comprehensive ownership package for the first 3,000 customers. This special offer includes an unlimited kilometre warranty for five years, along with five years of roadside assistance and five labour free services.

By focusing on premium service offerings and expanding its SUV lineup, the brand aims to navigate the current supply chain volatility while catering to the evolving preferences of Indian car buyers. Industry analysts will be closely watching the impact of the Majestor launch on the company's performance in the coming quarter.
