According to reports, over 30,297 units of the Kia Carens MPV are affected by the recall.
Kia India has issued a voluntary recall on more than 30,000 units of the Carens MPV to fix a potential issue with its digital instrument cluster. The company will roll out a software update to fix this issue, which will be carried out only on the affected units of the Kia Carens. According to reports, over 30,297 units of the Kia Carens MPV are affected due to the recall. We reached out to Kia India for a statement, however, we did not receive a response at the time of publishing this story.
According to reports, the instrument cluster is not booting properly and thus going blank at the time of starting up the vehicle. The affected units are built from September 2022 to March 2023, whereas the company will soon connect with the customers to bring their vehicles to the service centre for an inspection and fix the issue if it still persists even after the software update.
