The Moto G64 5G claims several segment-first and segment-leading features and specifiations.
Motorola has published details of its upcoming Moto G64 5G smartphone on its India website. The device will be launched in the country on April 16, and will be available through the company’s own website and authorised dealers, including Flipkart. The Moto G64 5G claims to be the world’s first smartphone to be based on the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC. Two hardware variants and three colour options have been announced, but there is no official word on pricing yet.
The Moto G64 5G appears to have a flat metal frame with rounded corners running around its sides. The rear panel curves slightly, and the camera module on the rear looks much like what you get on other models in the current Moto G-series generation including the Moto G84, G54, and G14. It will be available in Mint Green, Pearl Blue, and Ice Lilac. The phone’s body is said to be IP52 water repellent but not waterproof. There’s Gorilla Glass on the front for protection. The device weighs 192g and is 8.89mm thick.
In terms of specifications, the Moto G64 boasts of a 6000mAh battery and 30W fast charging. The Dimensity 7025 SoC has eight CPU cores running at up to 2.5GHz. Buyers will have the option of 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage or 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. The IPS LCD screen measures 6.5 inches, with a 1080x2400 pixel resolution and 120Hz peak refresh rate.

On the rear, there’s a 50-megapixel f/1.8 primary camera with optical image stabilisation along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera that can double as a macro camera thanks to autofocus. The front camera has a 16-megapixel resolution and f/2.4 aperture. Video capture goes up to 1080p at 30fps for the front and rear.

The phone runs Android 14 with Motorola’s MyUX customisations, and is only guaranteed an update to Android 15 along with three years of security patches. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the side, along with stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm audio socket, and a hybrid dual-SIM tray allowing for up to 1TB of storage expansion. 5G is supported on 14 bands, and there’s also Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi ac. A 33W charger is included, but charging speed is 30W.
