Following the limited-run MV Agusta LXP Orioli, the new MV Agusta Enduro Veloce packs similar performance and aesthetics.
MV Agusta's journey in the ADV space continues with the launch of the new Enduro Veloce. Following the limited-run LXP Orioli, the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce is also the brand’s first new product after Pierre Mobility’s KTM AG’s takeover. Although launched for the global market only, chances of once arriving in India are quite slim.
Powering the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce is the same 931 cc, inline-three engine that is unique to this model range. This mill produces 124 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 102 Nm at 7000 rpm, out of which 85 per cent of the torque is available at just 3000 rpm. Developed and built entirely at MV Agusta’s firm, one of the key highlights of this mill is its 57 kg weight and compact structure.
The engine is housed inside a steel alloy double cradle frame with a removable rear trellis subframe. Additionally, the engine also features aq unique counter-rotating crankshaft with a gyroscopic effect, that helps reduce inertia which in turn not only reduces vibrations significantly but also allows for rapid change in direction, making the bike easily flickable. Transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed gearbox with a hydraulic clutch mechanism and bi-directional quickshifter called Electronically Assisted Shift (EAS).
Hardware components available with the bike make it capable both on and off the road. For starters, both Sachs 48 mm upside-down fork and monoshock get 210 mm of travel with compression and rebound damping, while preload can be manually tweaked for the rear. The 230 mm ground clearance further contributes to its off-road capability, and the average seat height alters between 850 mm - 870 mm. Coupled with a lightweight aluminum swingarm, the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce tips the scale at 224 kg (dry).
The MV Agusta Enduro Veloce rides on 21/18-inch, spoked, Takasago Excel rims shod with Bridgestone Battlax A41 tyres in 90/90-21 and 150/70-18 sizes. To bring the ADV to a standstill are again premium Brembo Stylema calipers with 320 mm dual discs for the front wheel and a double-piston caliper with a 265 mm disc at the rear.
Premium componentry is further complemented by top-notch tech. Along with rear lift control and cornering ABS which will help shrug off speed without sliding, the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce also gets eight levels of traction control that act relative to your tyre choice (road rubbers or knobbies).
Additionally, wheelie control and launch control are available as standard. The 7-inch TFT dash is another noteworthy feature that connects to the MV Ride app to give customers access to turn-by-turn navigation, route sharing and recording, and data analysis. The app can also be used to configure bike settings remotely, and once set, the changes will transfer to the bike via in-built Wi-Fi.
Just like the LXP Orioli, the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce has a muscular rally-esque aesthetic. And despite the slabby appeal, the MV Agusta Enduro Volace has quite the functional fairing design which helps reduce buffeting and offer optimal aero efficiency.
Unlike the limited-run LXP Orioli £26,700 (equivalent to ₹28,08,960), the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce is priced at £21,800 ( which translates to ₹22,93,458), which is still a premium price tag though. In this price range, the new MV Agusta ADV bike will go up against the likes of the Ducati Multistrada V2, BMW F900 GS, and Triumph Tiger 900.
