Ola’s Most Affordable Scooter To Launch On This Date

Planning to buy the Ola S1 Air? We have some good news for you! The purchase window for Ola’s most affordable electric scooter will open on July 28. Additionally, buyers who book the Ola S1 Air between July 28 and 30 can avail the S1 Air at a special price of Rs 1,09,999. Post which, the price of the Ola S1 Air will increase to Rs 1,19,999 (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Bengaluru). 

The Ola S1 Air was introduced to make the brand more affordable and approachable as prices of electric scooters have witnessed a sharp rise post the removal of Fame II subsidies in many states. However, we would like to point out that the scooter was launched at an introductory price of Rs 80,000 last year but as you can see the final retail price is much higher. 

Ola managed to price the S1 Air cheaper by equipping it with a smaller 3 kWh battery pack as opposed to the 4 kWh unit seen on its elder sibling. As expected, range has reduced, Ola claims a max IDC range of 125 km as opposed to the 165 km of the S1. Charging time for the scooter is 5 hours.Claimed top speed is 90 kmph and it is powered by a 4.5kW peak output motor. 

Cosmetically, the new electric scooter looks similar to the Ola S1, with the only major difference being the inclusion of a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Underseat storage is reduced to 34 litres, which still isn’t bad. The Ola S1 Air features a 7-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, ride modes, reverse mode, navigation, music control and more.
