OnePlus 13 Series To Get Magnetic Accessory Compatibility

OnePlus is set to introduce magnetic accessory support for its upcoming OnePlus 13 series, according to new leak about the company's official smartphone cases, says a report by 91Mobiles. This suggests that OnePlus is expanding its ecosystem to compete with Apple's MagSafe technology.

The report added that both OnePlus 13 and 13R will feature a "Sandstone Magnetic case." 

The flagship OnePlus 13 will receive additional premium options, including a "Wood Grain Magnetic Half-pack case" and an "Aramid Fiber Magnetic case." The magnetic designation in these accessories points toward broader magnetic ecosystem compatibility.

Ecosystem Expansion

OnePlus has already established its magnetic accessory lineup in China, featuring a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank and a 50W AIRVOOC magnetic wireless charger. 

These accessories are expected to reach global markets, including India, concurrent with the OnePlus 13 series launch. The devices will likely support the Qi2 wireless charging standard, enabling compatibility with third-party magnetic charging accessories.

OnePlus 13 Launch Timeline

The OnePlus 13 series, alongside a Sapphire Blue variant of the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, is scheduled for release in India on January 7, following its China debut.

The flagship model features a 6.82-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with 4500 nits peak brightness, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It offers up to 24GB RAM, 1TB storage, and a triple 50MP camera system. The device houses a 6000mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

OnePlus 13r Specs, Features (Expected)

The 13r variant sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It includes up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a versatile camera system with a 50MP primary sensor. The device matches its flagship sibling with a 6000mAh battery but offers 80W wired charging.

Both models feature IP68 and IP69 protection ratings and will run on Android 15-based OxygenOS 15.
