The fifth-generation E-Class has been available in India since February 2017.
Mercedes-Benz India has reported a strong start to 2024. With six out of twelve planned product launches already introduced in the market, there's a lot to look forward to. The ones that were launched include the facelifts of the Mercedes-Benz GLS, GLA, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53, the Mercedes-AMG C63 E Performance F1 Edition, the Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance, and the soon-to-be-launched EQA electric SUV, the price of which will be announced on July 8.
In an exclusive conversation with Acko Drive, Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, revealed significant interest in the current E-Class model. He said "Our current E-Class is flying off the shelf. We have hardly 500 of these left now. So, we can see that there's a lot of love for the product and the car,"
The fifth-generation E-Class, which has been available in India since February 2017, is priced at ₹76.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It remains a key player in both the global and Indian markets due to its blend of luxury, performance, and advanced features.
Looking ahead, the sixth-generation E-Class, which debuted globally in April 2023, is poised to continue this success. The long-wheelbase (LWB) version, introduced in China in October 2022, will also be available in India. This new iteration promises enhanced features, updated design, and improved performance, aligning with the brand's commitment to innovation and excellence.
Siddharth recently had the opportunity to drive the latest E-Class. He even replicated the historic journey of Bertha Benz, who undertook the first long-distance car trip in 1886. This experiential drive highlighted the evolution and enduring legacy of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
As Mercedes-Benz India prepares to launch the new E-Class, the company is optimistic about its reception. Given the robust demand for the outgoing model, expectations are high for the upcoming version to build on this momentum and resonate strongly with consumers.
