Kawasaki brought back the Versys-X 300 earlier in May this year at a reduced price of ₹3.79 lakh. The entry-level adventure tourer was earlier priced at ₹4.60 lakh (both ex-showroom) when it first burst on to the Indian market in 2017. Now with the revised GST rates, the Versys-X 300 is one of the only few models from Kawasaki to become more affordable. The Japanese bikemaker has now reduced the prices by another ₹30,000, bringing it down to ₹3.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Although the price is very steep for any 300cc bike, the fact that it is a fully-imported CBU model and gets a twin-cylinder gives it a certain benefit of doubt. It is still the most affordable Versys in the Kawasaki India lineup comprising Versys 650 (₹8.48 lakh) and Versys 1100 (₹13.79 lakh).Deliveries for the latest slot of Kawasaki Versys-X 300 are slated to commence from November. Besides the reduced price, there’s no change on the adventure bike. It comes with the two dual-tone colour options namely Candy Lime Green with Metallic Flat Spark Black and METALLIC OCEAN BLUE with PEARL ROBOTIC WHITE. Overall looks of the Versys-X 300 have remained the same.Mechanically as well, the Kawasaki Versys-X remains the same. Powering it is the Ninja 300-derived 299cc, parallel-twin motor that churns out 40 bhp and 25.7 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist-and-slip clutch available as standard. Fuel is fed to the engine from a 17-litre tank. When it comes to features, the equipment on the Versys-X 300 is nothing to rave about. It gets a semi-digital instrument console. The motorcycle features a highly rigid, rugged frame engineered to withstand external shocks while supporting both passenger and luggage. Suspension duties are carried out by a 41mm telescopic front fork and a bottom-link Uni-Trak gas-charged rear monoshock. The bike rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels shod with multi-purpose tyres. Braking hardware comprises 290mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes. It offers 180 mm of ground clearance helping it go over rough surfaces with ease. Also READ: Harman Announces ₹345 Crore Investment Over Three Years to Expand Manufacturing at Chakan Plant
