Smartphone manufacturer Poco is set to unveil its first smartphone series of the year with its Poco X7 series. The company has confirmed a January 9 launch date for two new models: the Poco X7 5G and X7 Pro 5G, and both will be exclusively available through e-commerce site Flipkart.
In a reveal on X (formerly Twitter), Poco India announced that the X7 Pro 5G will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra SoC. The company is boldly positioning this device as the most powerful smartphone under the Rs 30,000 price point, targeting the competitive mid-range segment.
The Indian variant of the X7 Pro 5G will get a hefty battery, featuring a 6,550mAh carbon silicon battery. This marks a substantial improvement over its global counterpart, which houses a 6,000mAh battery.
The standard Poco X7 5G model will come equipped with a 5110mAh battery and 45W fast charging support.
Both models will showcase impressive specifications, featuring 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates and HDR10+ support. The devices offer up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage options. Camera capabilities include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, complemented by additional lenses for versatile photography.
Poco's global division has announced an "Iron Man Edition" of the Pro model, though its availability in the Indian market remains unconfirmed. This special edition could add an exciting dimension to the series' launch lineup.
