After two races in the season, Red Bull has won both of them. Verstappen and Perez sit at one and two spots in the world driver's championship

Red Bull is currently the F1 world champion and the second most successful team in F1 over the last decade. However, its team boss, Christian Horner, has made it clear that the team does not need the services of Lewis Hamilton, who is arguably the greatest driver in the history of F1. In 2021, Hamilton was in a battle for the world title with Red Bull's Max Verstappen.

Hamilton lost the title on the last lap of the final race of the season. Since then, it seems like Hamilton may possibly never get the opportunity to win the record breaking 8th world title as Mercedes has failed to produce a car that can take on Red Bull."We are very happy with the drivers that we have. They are committed as a pair for not only this season but next season as well. I can't see where we would be able to accommodate Lewis. But I am sure they will sort their issues out and we are not writing them off yet," said the team boss in an interview with Sky Sports F1. Red Bull has been performing well with Verstappen winning the world title last year.

This year, Red Bull looks even more dominant as Mercedes and Ferrari have further fallen behind with Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso emerging as a challenger."The regulations are still relatively young, and I am expecting to see a lot of convergence during the year, and the grid will tighten up. We need to make hay whilst the sun shines whilst we have a competitive car,” said Horner, denying that Red Bull may run away with the title fight.

After two races in the season, Red Bull has won both of them. Verstappen and Perez sit at one and two spots in the world driver's championship, respectively, with each of them having won a race. In both of the races, both Red Bull cars finished 1-2 and also set the fastest lap of the race, which earned them an extra point.
