The new RV1 BlazeX slots between the RV400 and the RV400 BRZ trims.
Revolt Motors has expanded its electric bike portfolio by introducing the new RV1 BlazeX trim. Priced at ₹1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it slots between the RV400 BRZ and the RV400 trims. But it differentiates itself from the other electric bikes with different graphic design, and hardware components. But beyond that, the new RV1 BlazeX is essentially the same as the top-spec RV electric bikes.
For starters, it is powered by the same 3.24 kWh battery pack that takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to charge from 0-80 per cent using a fast charger. With the battery fully-charged, the RV1 BlazeX can do 150 km of range in Eco mode. While Revolt doesn’t mention anything if the RV1 BlazeX will get Sport or Normal mode or not, the mid-mounted 4.1 kW electric motor has remained the same though.
The new RV1 BlazeX is based on the second generation platform that Revolt introduced last year with the RV1 and RV1+. Thereby, its underpinnings are shared with the entry-level RV1s, which include telescopic fork and dual-shock absorbers. However, the RV1 BlazeX distinguishes itself with different graphic designs that give it a premium appeal. Due to these changes, the kerb weight of the BlazeX has dropped by 2 kg to 113 kg, and the seat height is at a very accessible 790 mm. Ground clearance has also dropped on the RV1 BlazeX and at 180 mm, it is 20 mm shorter than that of the RV400 and the RV400 BRZ.
Feature-wise, the Revolt RV1 BlazeX also gets four different motorcycle sounds – Revolt, Rebel, Roar, and Rage. The fully digital LCD console has remained the same too and it continues to support smartphone connectivity via the MyRevolt app. Plus, the all-LED lighting system has been left untouched.
With the new RV1 BlazeX trim, Revolt Motors now retails a total of five different trims of its commuter electric bike. The brand will also launch three new products in the next two years, out of which one will be a premium commuter offering and the other will be a brand new model.
