The Classic 350 becomes the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to debut with this fuel type compatibility.
As the Government of India pushes for greener mobility, Royal Enfield has delivered exactly on that at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 with the showcase of the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 flex fuel version.
For the uninitiated, flex fuel is a blend of petrol and ethanol. This Royal Enfield Classic 350 is not just compatible for this blend of fuel, but can also run on regular petrol as well. To further distinguish this new model, the Classic 350 sports a unique and exclusive olive green and red colour combination. From the green fuel tank with red stripes, to the red side box in red, the new colour combination aptly compliments its noble purpose and appeal.
Mechanically, the RE Classic 350 flex fuel version remains the same. The new J-series engine continues to develop 20.1 bhp at 6100 rpm and 27 Nm at 4000 rpm. The chassis set up remains the same as well with the same twin downtube spine frame suspended by non-adjustable 41 mm telescopic fork and twin shock absorber with 6-step preload adjustability.
We are yet to ascertain, if Royal Enfield will launch this new Classic 350 or not. This seems to be more of a technology demonstration and confirming that the J-platform engine can be scaled up further for higher ethanol integeration in the future.
