The Guerrilla 450 is the second motorcycle based on the 450 cc platform from Royal Enfield after the Himalayan 450
As we gear up for the launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 in Spain on July 17, a new pic of the production bike has emerged online. The production-spec Guerrilla 450 was spotted at a service centre for service training of the mechanics. From the image, we can make out all the visual details of the upcoming Royal Enfield bike. The first aspect of the styling is that it isn’t a conventional street bike or a scrambler as most were expecting the bike to be. It’s kind of a hybrid of the two genres and does look very interesting. Since the new Royal Enfield bike is based on the Himalayan 450, you can see that the tail section, centre panel and the exhaust muffler have been carried forward from the ADV bike. What’s different though is the fuel tank shape, which is more flowing and smaller than the Himalayan 450.
The Guerrilla 450 gets all-LED lighting and the bike spotted was equipped with a TFT screen, although we have confirmation that there will be a cheaper variant with a semi-digital instrument cluster as seen on the Hunter 350. The other big highlight of the Guerrilla 450 is the vibrant colour options that it will feature as we have seen in previous spy shots. The bike spotted at the service centre featured a bright yellow shade contrasted well with black. The ‘Guerrilla’ font on the fuel tank is quirky and the RE logo is painted purple. With the new motorcycle, Royal Enfield is targeting youngsters with its vibrant persona. In fact, to make the brand more accessible for youngsters, Royal Enfield is also working on a new 250 cc bike.
The Guerrilla 450 shares the same underpinnings as seen on the Himalayan 450, the only big difference being the telescopic fork replacing the long travel USD fork. The other big change is 17-inch alloy wheels on either ends replacing the wire spoke rims. Powering the bike is the same 450 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that does duty on the Himalayan 450. We expect the engine tune to be different as the gear ratios will be revised in comparison to the Himalayan 450. We expect the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 to be priced around ₹ 2.40 to 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
