Building on the same foundations of the previous bike, the new Royal Enfield Scram 440 arrives with more power and features.
Royal Enfield has kickstarted its 2025 campaign by launching the new Scram 440. Building on the same foundations of the Scram 411 from before, the new Scram 440 debuts with more power and features that’ll now help the bike to actually do some urban scrambling. The new Royal Enfield Scram 440 is available in two trim levels: Trail and Force. The former is priced at ₹2.08 lakh, while the latter will set you back by ₹2.15 lakh (both ex-showroom price, Delhi).
The difference between these two variants lies in its hardware setup. The base trim comes with spoke wheels and with just two colour options – Blue and Green. The top trim is available with alloy wheels as standard and three colour options – Blue, Grey and Teal.

The new Royal Enfield Scram 440 is powered by a bigger 443 cc engine. It is the same 411 cc mill that has been bored out to increase its displacement which is good for 25.4 bhp produced at 6250 rpm and a healthy 34 Nm of peak torque produced at 4000 rpm. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox and the addition of this sixth cog should help its case to become a better tourer than before.
It looks exactly like the Scram 411, though. However, there are a few alterations underneath that familiar design. For starters, the headlight unit is completely new and it's an all-LED unit – the same unit that RE debuted with the Super Meteor 650. The brakes have also improved with a better front brake caliper. Lastly, for the first time the Royal Enfield Scram 440 will be available with switchable ABS, that should further amp up the fun quotient when hitting some light trails.
Bookings for the Royal Enfield Scram 440 had already commenced before, and deliveries should start soon. With a starting ex-showroom price from ₹2.08 lakh, the Scram 440 is quite an accessible option when you compare it against the likes of the Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX.
