Samsung's Fan Edition (FE) line of Galaxy smartphones has always made quite an impact, and it seems 2023 will be no exception. Following an apparent confirmation from a Samsung executive regarding the arrival of an FE version of the S23 series, it has now been confirmed that the phone will also be launched in India. Although there has been no official announcement, the phone has already received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
Samsung would not have undertaken the time-consuming and costly BIS certification process if it did not plan to introduce the device in India.
Based on the renders, the phone appears to resemble the Galaxy A series of devices. It is expected to be powered by the Exynos 2200 processor, which is the foundation for Google's Tensor chipset used in the Pixel 7 series. However, Samsung might also opt to equip it with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset to make it more competitive against rivals like the Nothing Phone (2) and the OnePlus 11R.
The phone is rumoured to feature a 50-megapixel primary wide-angle camera, with options for 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. It is also expected to have a 4,500mAh battery with 25W charging capabilities.
