Hazela will succeed Aditya Jairaj who will be relocating to the USA.
Stellantis India has announced that it has appointed Shailesh Hazela as its new CEO and Managing Director. Hazela will be replacing Aditya Jairaj who is relocating to the USA. Stellantis mentioned that Jairaj and Hazela will be transitioning to their new roles through mid-July. Jairaj held this post for a short while, beginning his stint as CEO and MD on January 1, 2024.
On his new role, Hazela commented, “It is an honour to lead Stellantis in India. Our iconic brands have led the global automobile industry, and I am committed to upholding and advancing this legacy. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Aditya Jairaj for his contributions, and I am committed to fostering sustainable progress with our exceptional teams and partners. I look forward to accelerating technological innovation and strengthening our position in existing and emerging mobility segments.”

Hazela, who has an experience of 28 years across sectors like automotive, telecommunications and railways, was currently serving as Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain for India & APAC, Stellantis. He joined Stellantis India in September 2022.
