The latest Mercedes-Benz E-Class will come to India in its LWB avatar later this year.
Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch the sixth-generation E-Class in India later this year. Ahead of that, the executive sedan has now been spotted in India in its long-wheelbase version (LWB). The sixth-gen E-Class made its global debut in April 2023, while the LWB version made its debut in China in October last year.

Multiple units of the upcoming E-Class have been spotted in India, some finished in Silver, some in white and the rest in Black. At the front, the new E-Class can be seen with a single, horizontal slat grille with piano-black surrounds and star-shaped inserts finished in chrome. The headlamp design mimics the E-Class of old with its twin-pod-like design.

At the back, the sixth-gen E-Class has star-shaped lighting elements in the taillamps and chrome inserts in the bumper. The profile of the E-Class seems familiar as it also looks like a mini Maybach with its greenhouse extending beyond the stretched rear door.

While the interior of the new E-Class has not yet been snapped, expect it to be similar to the China-spec model. It could come with Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX Superscreen setup with three displays – a 14.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch screen in front of the passenger. Other features are likely to include ADAS, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, reclining rear seats, a Burmester sound system and more.

The LWB version of the E-Class gets multiple powertrain options. However, the India-spec model’s powertrain details remain under wraps. As for the pricing, the current-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB is priced between ₹71.76 - 83.98 lakh and the upcoming model could be priced upwards of ₹80 lakh. (all prices ex-showroom, India).
