Tata Curvv Coupe SUV: Variants Explained

Tata Motors just launched the Curvv.ev compact SUV and revealed the Curvv ICE. Prices for the latter will be announced on September 2 and are expected to start at around ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Unlike the electric version, the ICE version gets four personas (Tata’s nomenclature for trims of its vehicles). It gets a choice of two turbo-petrol engines and a diesel engine. Let’s have a look at what each variant offers. 

Tata Curvv Smart

The Curvv gets a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that develops 118 bhp and 170 Nm. The other 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine is the new direct-injection unit which Tata Motors calls the Hyperion. It churns out 123 bhp and 225 Nm. The diesel is a 1.5-litre mill producing 116 bhp and 260 Nm. All the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
