Pre-launch safety rating likely to increase bookings and sales
Just ahead of its launch on August 7, the Tata Curvv electric vehicle (EV) has pulled attention for its safety. According to leaked reports, both the electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants of the Curvv have achieved a perfect five-star safety rating in both the Global NCAP (GNCAP) and Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) crash tests.
This achievement places the Tata Curvv alongside other recent Tata models, including the Safari, Harrier, Nexon, Nexon EV, and Punch EV, in receiving the highest possible safety scores from the testing organisations.

These include six airbags, an ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, disc brakes on all four wheels, and three-point seatbelts with reminders for every passenger. Additionally, the Curvv has a traction control system, 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology which all add points to the safety rating of the vehicle.
The Tata Curvv has a head-turning design with a sporty sloping roofline and a modern front fascia dominated by a full-width LED light bar. The interior, though yet to be unveiled, is expected to be a tech haven with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a comprehensive suite of comfort and convenience features. Under the hood, the ICE variant offers two engine options: Tata's new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, promising a potentially peppy ride, and a proven 1.5-litre diesel engine for strong mileage. Both Curvv ICE versions are expected to be offered with manual and automatic transmission choices. The Curvv EV promises an impressive electric range of around 500 km on a single charge. perfect for eco-conscious drivers with longer commutes.
