Tata Nexon CNG: Variants Explained

Tata Motors has recently launched the new Nexon iCNG, the first-ever turbo-petrol engine model to get a factory-fitted CNG kit. Prices start at ₹8.99 lakh and go up to ₹14.59 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Interestingly, the Nexon CNG is available with all personas (trims) of the subcompact SUV – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless. Let’s take a look at what each variant offers. 

Tata Nexon iCNG Smart (O)

Tata Nexon iCNG is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that churns out 99 bhp and 170 Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. Compared to the standard Nexon, the CNG version produces 118 bhp but has the same torque output. With the twin-cylinder technology, the Nexon iCNG’s boot space has been reduced by 61 litres.
