Tata Motors is slated to launch Stealth Editions of the Harrier and Safari SUV. The manufacturer recently teased these upcoming special edition models on its social media platforms. The teaser video mentions February 21 at the end, which refers to the official launch date. However, dealerships have already started to accept bookings for both and have revealed the price unofficially, too.
The Tata Safari Stealth Edition will be based on the Accomplished+ and Fearless+ trim levels. It will get the option of both manual and automatic transmission gearboxes. With the MT gearbox, the Safari Stealth edition in Accomplished+ trim is priced at ₹25.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and in the Fearless+ trim, wherein it will come with the AMT gearbox only, it will cost you ₹27.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The six-seater iteration of the Safari will also get the Stealth edition, but it will be available with the AMT gearbox only, and it will cost you ₹27.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Similarly, the Tata Harrier Stealth Edition will also be available with both manual and automatic transmission options, but will be limited to the Fearless+ trim level only. With the manual gearbox, it will be priced at ₹25.10 lakh, and with the automatic gearbox, it will cost ₹26.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
As for what this special edition SUVs will come packed with, the highlights will majorly be about their aesthetics. As you can gauge from their names, both the Tata Safari and Harrier Stealth Edition SUVs are expected to come finished in a distinct Matte Black shade, complete with 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The interior is expected to receive a familiar dark treatment, too, with some of the detailing finished in Granite Black. Similarly, the dashboard will be finished in a dark aesthetic and wrapped with soft-touch materials, given the premium positioning of these SUVs. Beyond these aesthetic upgrades, both the Tata Harrier and Safari Stealth Editions will remain mechanically the same.
