Tata Tiago Hatchback Hits 5 Lakh Units Sale Milestone

Tata Motors is on a roll with the Tiago, as the hatchback recently crossed the 5 lakh unit sales milestone. The Tiago and the Tiago.ev both contributed to the milestone, with the latter recently crossing the 10,000-unit threshold. The last 1 lakh sales of the Tiago came within the last 15 months, indicating its growing popularity in the market.

Built at Tata’s Sanand facility in Gujarat, the Tiago is available in petrol and CNG versions as well as the NRG special edition, with prices ranging between Rs. 5.60 lakh and Rs. 8.11 lakh (ex-showroom).

Vinay Pant, Head-Marketing, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. said, “The Tiago has played a pivotal role in bolstering the popularity of our New Forever range since its launch. The Tiago has consistently surpassed expectations by offering discerning customers good styling, unrivaled safety standards, and state-of-the-art technology, thereby reshaping the landscape of the hatch segment.”

According to Tata Motors, the average age of a customer purchasing the Tiago is 35 years with 60 per cent of the sales coming from urban markets and the rest coming from rural markets.

Moreover, Tata also says that it witnessed a positive shift in female buyers, who contribute approximately 10 per cent of its sales. Additionally, around 71 per cent of the customers were first-time buyers.
