TVS might finally make an adventurous move after making fans wait for many years.
TVS has released a teaser of what can very well be its first adventure motorcycle. While the Hosur-based bikemaker hasn’t revealed any detail at all, except for the tank design, chances are it might be called the TVS Apache Blaze. And just like the Apache RR 310 and RTR 310, the upcoming model might also follow the same route, both mechanically and aesthetically. This means the new bike might be similar to the BMW G 310 GS, but it will have a TVS identity.
Thereby, it might be built around the same trellis frame architecture and house the same 313 cc, air-cooled engine that produces 33 bhp and 28 Nm. Performance-wise, both the Apache RTR 310 and RR 310 are quite quick and fast bikes, and they also come with ride modes, traction control, etc — features might be carried over to the upcoming Apache Blaze as well.
Aesthetically, the TVS Apache Blaze is expected to look different. Just like how TVS did with the Apache RTR 310, by carving a separate design from its counterpart the BMW G 310 R. Also, feature-wise, we might see the whole gamut of heated/cooled seats, six-axis IMU, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth-compatible digital instrument console, etc available with the adventure bike here as well.
With the ADV segment growing more popular day by day, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that TVS is trying to ride high on the trend and launch its adventure bike. What makes one question this delay further is that TVS has the distinction of being the first Indian manufacturer to compete in the Dakar Rally and yet it didn’t have an ADV offering for so many years.
While we haven’t come across any spy shots of the bike’s test mule yet, the launch of this bike has been brewing for quite some time now. Moreover, the upcoming Apache Blaze will not only debut the brand in the ADV segment but might also offer customers a much more affordable alternative to the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, etc.
