The new OBD-2B compliance requires manufacturers to equip a sensor and on-board engine control unit (ECU) that constantly monitors and collects data about the scooter ignition process. This includes throttle response, air-fuel ratio, engine temperature, fuel quantity, and speed. Due to the addition of extra equipment, prices of all bikes and scooters have increased to complying with new emission norms.
