The Malaysian lubricant giant has extended its partnership with the Hosur-based bikemaker for the next 3 years.
TVS Motor Company has strengthened its partnership with Petronas Lubricants International (PLI) to enhance the Indian motorsport landscape. Under this expanded agreement, PLI will continue as the title sponsor of TVS Racing for the next three years.
The partnership supports TVS Racing's participation in major competitions including the Indian National Supercross Championship, Indian National Rally Championship, and Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship. This collaboration demonstrates both companies' commitment to promoting motorsports in India while strengthening PLI's position in the country's high-performance lubricants market.
PETRONAS has been TVS Racing's title sponsor throughout the 2022-2023 season, complementing the team's four-decade legacy in Indian motorsports. As part of the continued partnership, PLI will remain the official supplier of after-market oils to TVS Motor's dealership network. The PETRONAS TVS TRU4 product range will provide premium lubricants designed specifically for high-performance TVS motorcycles, improving engine efficiency and longevity.
“TVS Racing is a pioneer of motorsports in India and has consistently secured more than 80% win rate across multiple formats of racing. This racing pedigree directly influences our Apache series, bringing race-derived performance and technology to our customers. With over four decades, TVS Racing has played a pivotal role in democratizing motorsports in India and nurturing world-class talent with its programs like the TVS One Make Championship. Strengthening our partnership with PLI underscores our shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance and innovation,” said Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium, TVS Motor Company.
“This partnership not only strengthens our presence in India’s dynamic two-wheeler market but also aligns with our broader energy ambitions in the country,” concluded Binu Chandy, Chief Executive Officer of Petronas Lubricants India (Pvt) Ltd.
