TVS became India's largest two-wheeler maker in June 2026, selling 5.65 lakh units globally, driven by a 47% growth rate and strong export performance.
TVS Motor Company managed to secure the top position as India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer by total global sales volume for June 2026. Combining localised domestic wholesale dispatches with international export shipping channels, the manufacturer successfully outpaced long-standing industry front-runners to claim the market leadership spot. The company already commands a dominant position as the market leader within the domestic electric two-wheeler segment.
During the month under review, TVS Motor Company recorded cumulative global sales of 5.65 lakh units, surpassing Hero MotoCorp, which registered 5.41 lakh units, and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, which dispatched 5.28 lakh units. This performance gave TVS a clear lead of 24,000 units over Hero and 37,000 units over Honda.

International business served as the decisive catalyst for this performance. The brand's export volume reached 1.54 lakh units for the month, a figure that is 2.9 times the combined export volumes of Hero and Honda. This shipping momentum reflects the firm's expanding footprint across strategic global regions, including Africa, Latin America, ASEAN, and West Asia. Backed by this international diversification, TVS achieved a year-on-year volume growth rate of 47% in June 2026, substantially outperforming the growth percentages managed by Hero, Honda, and Bajaj Auto.
A breakdown of the manufacturer's wholesale data reveals uniform growth across individual product classes. Total two-wheeler dispatches climbed to 5,65,417 units in June 2026, up from 385,698 units in June 2025. In the domestic arena, two-wheeler sales tracked a 46% advancement, shifting 4,11,014 units against the 281,012 units recorded in the corresponding month last year.

Product-wise, motorcycle dispatches grew 42% to 2,67,096 units from 1,88,774 units previously, while scooter dispatches witnessed a 53% surge, finishing at 2,47,950 units compared to 162,291 units in June 2025.
The volume surge coincides with major production benchmarks within the brand's electric mobility division. Late last month, the firm finalised the rollout of its 1,000,000th iQube electric scooter from its primary manufacturing facility located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, a milestone reached approximately six years after the model's commercial debut in January 2020.
