Ahead of the upcoming festive season, TVS is warming up to the occasion with a bunch of discounts and benefits with its product range. After introducing a new drum brake variant of the TVS Raider 125, the Hosur-based manufacturer has now revised the price structure of the Ronin. The neo-roadster just got more affordable now starting at ₹1.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
However, this discount price is only available with the base-spec TVS Ronin SS variant, which was earlier priced at ₹1.49 lakh. The rest of the variants do not see any change to their respective ex-showroom prices. Check the table below:
TVS Ronin Variants | New Price | Old Price |
TVS Ronin SS | ₹1.35 lakh | ₹1.49 lakh |
TVS Ronin DS | ₹1.56 lakh | No Change |
TVS Ronin TD | ₹1.69 lakh | No Change |
TVS Ronin TD - Special Edition | ₹1.73 lakh | No Change |
Despite the price reduction, TVS has not made any changes to the Ronin SS feature list. So, it continues to equip the same T-shaped LED DRL, LED headlight, and a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Suspension components are also the same USD fork at the front, and a 7-step preload adjustable monoshock. Mechanically, the TVS Ronin is powered by a 225.9 cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 20.12 bhp and 19.93 Nm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. However, unlike other trims, the base TVS Ronin SS is available with just two monotone colour options, with the fenders and muffler finished in matte black instead of the stainless steel finish available with other variants.
`The latest price reduction should help strengthen the Ronin’s case against its immediate competitor, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. In fact, the Ronin raked in sales of just 1,708 units in August 2024, compared to the Hunter 350 which registered sales of 15,084 units. What makes it more interesting is that the latter packs in a bigger engine. However, it isn’t as feature rich as the Ronin. And with the arrival of the Triumph Speed T4 and Hero Mavrick 440, the Indian buyer is now getting spoilt with a dearth of choices all across the price range.
