Ultraviolette has added a new feather to its hat, becoming the first Indian production motorcycle maker to complete the legendary Isle of Man TT Circuit. The Bengaluru-based manufacturer piloted five UV F77 Mach 2 electric motorcycles on the circuit, successfully completing the 60.72 km mountain course. The electric performance motorcycles were ridden by James Hiller, a former Isle of Man TT winner; Ranvijay Singha, motorcycle enthusiast and actor; and Abhishek Vasudev, multiple-time national champion. The achievement has been officially recognised by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.
Speaking about the announcement, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said, "Completing a lap of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course with the F77s is a significant milestone for Ultraviolette and a proud moment for Indian design and engineering. It demonstrates how far electric motorcycle technology has evolved and reinforces our belief that high-performance electric mobility can compete on the world's most demanding stages. For decades, the Isle of Man TT has been where motorcycle technology is tested, proven, and celebrated. The TT Zero class was ahead of its time and showed the world that electric motorcycles could be more than an alternative; that they could be genuinely exciting, competitive and capable. Today, electric motorcycles have reached an entirely new level of capability, and we would love to see electric racing return to the Isle of Man TT and continue driving the next chapter of motorcycle innovation."
The Isle of Man TT Circuit remains a famed road course, made up of public and rural roads. With over 200 blind corners, sudden elevation changes, and zero run-off area, racers often reach speeds exceeding 322 kmph on the Snaefell Mountain Course. The circuit is a huge part of the motorsport culture, and enthusiasts across the world look forward to the two-week festival at the island, off the coast of Great Britain.
The achievement marks a major milestone for India’s Ultraviolette as it paves its way into the European market. The company entered the continent last year and further expanded to the UK in November 2025.
