The same ₹1.2 lakh introductory asking price has been extended for up to 50,000 bookings
Ultraviolette literally broke the internet this week with the Shockwave and Tesseract. After receiving 1,000 bookings for the electric dirt bike, the company has extended the introductory price for the Shockwave for another 1,000 bookings. In the same vein, upon completion of 20,000 bookings for the Tesseract, Ultraviolette has decided to keep the same asking price of ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom India) for the next 30,000 bookings as well.
Considering both of the new Ultraviolette products will be arriving nearly a year down, mostly in the first quarter of 2026, the company has received some phenomenal response. It all remains to be seen how well it manages to deliver on the incredible demand. We have seen in the past brands like Simple Energy, Classic Legends and Ola failing to meet the hype, and even Ultraviolette’s initial plans with the F77 had to be delayed a bit. Hence, this time round, we hope that both the Tesseract as well as the Shockwave meet the customer’s high hopes.

And there are good reasons why the Tesseract is creating a shockwave (pun intended) in the Indian electric scooter space. Considering the asking price, Ultraviolette is promising to deliver an electric scooter that will not only be quicker and faster than the Ather 450X but also more practical and convenient than the Bajaj Chetak or the TVS iQube. And the asking price is not astronomically high but rather almost par for the course or a bit lower.
