July 2024 will see the launch of a new hatchback, sedan and a few SUVs in the Indian market.
July 2024 seems to be all about luxury as the Indian automotive market is expected to see a bunch of new premium vehicles. There’s a new hatchback, a new sedan and a few of SUVs already in the pipeline for the upcoming month. Let’s have a look at what’s in store next month.
Launch: July 8, 2024
Expected Price: ₹60 - 65 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
The EQA will be Mercedes-Benz's most affordable and smallest electric vehicle in India when it launches in India next month. It will rival the BMW iX1, Volvo XC40 Recharge, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The Mercedes-Benz EQA is likely to come with a 66.5 kWh battery pack with a range of up to 430 km. It is expected to get a dual-motor setup that produces 288 bhp and 520 Nm. Mercedes-Benz refreshed the EQA in 2023 and it gets a star pattern on the blacked-out panel grille, a full-width LED light bar, and horizontal lighting elements in the taillamps.
Launch: July 24, 2024
Expected Price: ₹85 lakh - 1 crore (ex-showroom, India)
BMW India has already showcased the 5 Series LWB in India in June but the launch is slated for next month. Furthermore, bookings have already opened for the new 5 Series. Only the petrol powertrain (530Li) is currently visible on the website but BMW India could bring a diesel powertrain to India either at launch or sometime later. The 5 Series made its global debut in May last year, while the LWB version came out in August 2023.

Expected Price: ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
Mini is gearing up to launch the fourth-gen Cooper S in India and opened bookings in June. Presently, Mini will be launching the ICE version of the Cooper with the EV expected to come later. The fourth-gen model retains the iconic design of the Mini Cooper. Inside, the Mini Cooper gets a circular 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen for the infotainment and it also gets ADAS. It is expected to get two petrol engines mated to a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Launch: July 24, 2024
Expected Price: ₹55 - 60 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
The Countryman EV will be the third model BMW and Mini launch this month. This is the first time the SUV gets an all-electric version. The design elements on the Countryman Electric include flush door handles, copper accents on the grille, ORVMs, roof, alloy wheels, bumpers and side skirts. Like the Cooper S, it also gets a circular 9.4-inch OLED infotainment touchscreen. The Countryman Electric gets a 66.45 kWh battery pack with up to 462 km of range. It has two motor options – a 201 bhp, 250 Nm, single-motor layout and a 308 bhp, 494 Nm.
Launch: Late July, 2024
Expected Price: ₹30 - 40 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
After skipping an entire generation, Nissan is finally launching the fourth-generation X-Trail in India. With this, Nissan India’s portfolio will have a total of two models, the other one being the Magnite subcompact SUV. It is also likely to get Nissan’s e-Power tech where the engine is a range-extending generator for the electric motors.
