This is the third instance where the camouflaged hardcore trim of the upcoming ADV has been spotted in India.
As KTM gears up for the launch of the new 390 Adventure, the upcoming model has been spotted yet again, in camouflage. It has revealed several new details, especially of its front section, thus confirming some details.
For starters, the model that has been spied on is the Enduro model. This is given away by the fact that it rides on spoke wheels. This is a 21-inch unit, and it is shod with, what appears to be, 90-section Reise trailR tyres which are off-road focussed dual-purpose tyres. We have experienced the trailR rubber on quite a few ADVs and have found it to be quite competent in all situations.
The headlight is a placeholder for now and is further flanked by sleek LED indicators, and behind lies the instrument console. We can’t gauge how the console will look like, but it is expected to be a fully digital unit, just like the one available with the existing KTM 390 Duke.

Interestingly, the longer tank shrouds are not visible here, and the Enduro model might boast of a sleek body design. However, it is confirmed that the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure will be powered by the same 399 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is currently available with the third-generation KTM 390 Duke. This mill produces 45.5 bhp and 39 Nm in the naked streetfighter. We expect KTM to carry forward this same tune with the ADV as well, with some tweaks to the final drive to make it more suitable for dirt munching.
Prices for the KTM 390 Adventure are expected to start from ₹3.55 lakh (ex-showroom, India) onwards. And its official debut will most likely take place this year during the Diwali festive period.
