Vivo V21e is rumoured to be priced under ₹30,000.
Vivo is set to launch its latest mid-range smartphone, the Vivo V29e, in India today. The successor to the Vivo V21e is rumoured to be priced under ₹30,000 and will feature an eye-catching curved display design.
According to teasers, the Vivo V29e will sport a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and centrally-placed hole-punch cutout. It will be offered in two colour variants - Arctic Blue and Arctic Red.
In terms of cameras, the phone will pack a 64-megapixel main rear camera with OIS along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. For selfies, there is a 50-megapixel front camera.
Under the hood, the Vivo V29e is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset. The phone will pack 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Fueling the package will be a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.
Vivo is expected to price the V29e very competitively at around Rs 26,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model. The higher 8GB/256GB option could retail for Rs 28,999.
The phone will rely more on its stylish design and display to appeal to offline buyers rather than raw hardware specs. Vivo has seen great success in India recently, becoming the #1 smartphone brand on the back of its X, V and Y series models.
With its growing after-sales network, eye-catching designs and aggressive promotion, Vivo seems poised to further strengthen its position in the crucial sub-30K segment with the launch of the V29e today.
