Volkswagen is set to launch the T-Roc R Black Edition in the UK, an upgraded and stylish variant of its popular high-performance T-Roc R. Available to order from August 15, 2024, the T-Roc R Black Edition will be priced at £44,250 (₹47.70 lakh approx.), positioning it at the top of the T-Roc lineup in the UK.
Building on the existing T-Roc R, the Black Edition introduces a distinctive design package that accentuates its sporty character. The exterior is enhanced with black decorative trims, roof rails, and mirror housings, complemented by 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels with a black and diamond-turned finish. These design elements give the T-Roc R Black Edition a more aggressive and premium appearance.
In addition to its exterior upgrades, the Black Edition comes with several new features that set it apart from the standard T-Roc R. Notable additions include a rear-view camera, heated front seats, an electronic tailgate, and a large panoramic sunroof. For audiophiles, the T-Roc R Black Edition includes a Beats sound system as standard. This system features six speakers, a digital eight-channel amplifier, a subwoofer, and a total output of 300 watts.
Under the hood, the T-Roc R Black Edition retains the same powerful 2.0 TSI engine found in the standard T-Roc R. This engine delivers 296 bhp, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds. The engine is paired with a 7-speed direct-shift gearbox (DSG) and Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. The T-Roc R Black Edition also maintains a top speed of 250 kmph, where legally permitted.
