The Tiguan R-Line will get a large free-standing touchscreen, three-zone climate control and more.
Ahead of its launch on April 14, 2025, Volkswagen has revealed the interior of the Tiguan R-Line. The new full-size SUV gets many new features, and we already know it will have a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and six exterior colours. Pre-bookings have already commenced for the third-generation Tiguan R-Line.
The Tiguan R-Line will have a large free-standing touchscreen that seems to be a 15-inch unit, however, Volkswagen has not confirmed the size. The Tiguan will also come with a 30-colour ambient lighting option, sporty seats with ‘R’ badging with lumbar support and massage functions, a rotary knob that can be alternate between volume control and drive mode selector, three-zone climate control, park-assist plus, and two wireless smartphone chargers.
While we already knew the dimensions of the Tiguan R-Line, we now know it will come with 19-inch alloys with a dual-tone black and silver finish. It can be had with six different colours including red, blue, green, black, white and silver.
With the launch of the third-gen Tiguan R-Line just around the corner, Volkswagen has delisted the second-gen Tiguan from its website. The outgoing model was only available in the Elegance trim and was priced at ₹38.17 lakh*. The upcoming model is expected to be priced around ₹50 lakh* since it will come as a completely built unit (CBU) import. Upon launch, it will rival the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq as well as the Toyota Fortuner (₹36.33 - 51.94 lakh*), Jeep Meridian (₹24.99 - 38.79 lakh*) and MG Gloster (₹39.57 - 44.03 lakh*)
* all prices ex-showroom, India
