Austrian firm offers performance fork and shock kits for new middleweight models
KTM's latest 390 Enduro and 390 Adventure R owners can now fit higher-spec suspension from WP, the Austrian brand owned by Pierer Mobility. However, these have been introduced in the UK, and the availability of the same in India is unconfirmed.
Alexander Banzirsch, WP's Chief Engineer for Pro Components Offroad, explained the reasoning: "Riders of the new KTM 390 Enduro R or 390 Adventure R will eventually wonder how far they can push the limits, and these special 2025 WP Pro Components will provide some answers."
The Xplor Pro 6500 fork upgrade costs £700.32 (approximately ₹75,000), though buyers need to purchase the correct spring for their weight separately. WP claims improved damping and adjustability compared to the standard setup.
Unlike the 6500 kits available for other WP forks that use a closed-cartridge system, this version features an open-cartridge design developed specifically for the 390 platform.
The Xplor Pro 6746 shock weighs three kilograms and retails at £1,137.24 (approximately ₹1.22 lakh). It offers independent high- and low-speed compression adjustment, rebound control, and spring preload adjustment.
Lastly, in India we get the KTM 390 Enduro R, but the suspension travel on offer here is not the same as the Euro-spec bike. As for the KTM 390 Adventure R, the bike is not sold in India too, however, KTM India had confirmed at the time of launch that if the brand sees significant interest for the Adventure R, then it might consider bringing it to India. Either way, the new suspension components are quite expensive, so if you’re considering purchasing, you better be prepared to shell out quite the dough.
